The BASIC Galvan beauty device is designed for galvanic treatment and iontophoresis.

Galvanic treatment is a procedure that uses direct current. During the treatment, an electrode is moved across the skin’s surface, causing the movement of ions within the body, which in turn leads to increased blood flow to the skin and improved skin tone.

Iontophoresis, on the other hand, involves the introduction of charged particles—ions—through the skin using a device that emits direct galvanic current.

Applications:

Galvanization is effective for neuralgia, vascular neuroses of the skin, frostbite, rosacea, dilated blood vessels (telangiectasia), and atrophic or sallow skin.

In galvanic therapy, two electrodes are active: the anode (which has a calming effect) and the cathode (which has a stimulating effect).

Directions for use:

Apply the electrode to a cleansed, damp face and move it slowly across the skin. The treatment should last approximately 15–20 minutes and be performed in a series of sessions. The treatment can also be performed using a sheet mask. Apply a suitable sheet mask to the client’s face, then set up the galvanic device. Place the electrode on the face and move it across the damp mask. Inform the client that she may experience a metallic taste in her mouth.
