Why use Film Wax hot wax?

Compared to traditional hot wax, Film Wax is more flexible, malleable, has a lower melting point, and adheres better to the hair.

• Lower temperature: Italwax melts at 41°C, which is very close to normal body temperature, so it never causes skin burns.

Why is Hot Film wax intended only for the face, bikini area, underarms, and torso?

• Hair consists of a visible part that sits above the skin and a lower part called the hair follicle or hair root. The human body has as many as 5 million hair follicles capable of producing various types of hair. There are two main types of hair.
• Most of the hair covering the human body is fine and colorless. This is vellus hair, which helps regulate body temperature. The root of vellus hair is located close to the surface and has a small bulb. In contrast, the hair found in certain areas—such as the scalp, eyebrows, eyelashes, beard, armpits, torso, and bikini area—is thicker, longer, contains more pigment, and is called terminal hair. The bulb of a terminal hair is located much deeper in the skin and is significantly larger compared to that of vellus hair.
• Terminal hair is removed exclusively using Hot Film wax. Hot Film wax is applied in a thin layer to the skin’s surface and hardens within 4–10 seconds. During this time, the skin warms up, the pores open, and the hair becomes smoother and softer. This makes it easier to remove the hair from the root without breaking it, as the pores are open and the muscles surrounding the hair follicles are relaxed. The treatment is more effective when Hot Film wax is used on areas with terminal hair.

Waxing treatment using Italwax Film:

1. Heat the wax to a working temperature of 40–45°C
2. To degrease the skin and remove any residue from cosmetic products, cleanse the area to be waxed with an alcohol-based lotion before applying Aloe wax.
3. Using a spatula, apply a thin layer of wax regardless of the direction of hair growth, but toward yourself, and leave a small “tab” that will later be used as a grip (for underarm hair removal, apply in a single pass). NOTE – Take your time during application; press the spatula firmly using the necessary force.
4. The wax will harden within 4–10 seconds. During this time, the wax will completely grip all the hairs (when ready for removal, the wax should not stick to your hands).
5. Stretch the skin in the opposite direction of the pull, then remove the wax with a quick motion away from you and parallel to the skin.
6. Repeat the steps on the next area.
7. After finishing the waxing, apply Cooling Gel or Orchid Emulsion to the skin—oil-free products with soothing and cooling properties.

Common mistakes:

• The wax stretches like caramel and is difficult to remove.

Cause: The wax has not hardened yet.

What to do: Sprinkle a little talcum powder on the wax, wait 2–3 seconds, and remove it.

Some hairs remain after removing the wax.

Reason: The wax wasn’t pressed down firmly enough with the spatula during application, so the hairs weren’t properly adhered.

What to do: Apply wax to the remaining hairs. Press the wax down more firmly by pressing the spatula against the area where the hair is being removed.

The wax won’t harden.

Cause: The wax layer is too thick.

What to do: Carefully “spread” the applied wax over a larger area. Next time, apply a thinner layer of wax.

The edges of the wax application remain on the skin after removal.

Cause: uneven wax application.

What to do: apply an even layer of wax in the center and along the edges.

Directions for use:

1. Clean the skin before waxing.
2. Pour a small amount of wax into a saucepan.
3. Heat the wax to the proper consistency.
4. If the wax is too thick, heat it for a little longer.
5. Make sure the wax isn’t too hot.
6. You can apply talcum powder or baby powder before applying the wax.
7. Apply the wax in the direction of hair growth. (Take your time when applying the wax. Press the wax firmly against the skin with a spatula.)
8. The wax hardens within 5–6 seconds. During this time, the wax will grip all the hairs.
9. Lift the applied wax and, with a quick pull (against the direction of hair growth), remove it along with the hair.
10. Clean the area after waxing with post-waxing oil.
11. The day after waxing—to moisturize and soothe the skin—it is recommended to use post-waxing oil for the next few days.
