Ingrown toenails occur when the nail grows into the surrounding skin, causing pain, redness, and swelling. In the later stages, inflammation and, very often, granulation tissue appear, and above all, constant discomfort. There are many causes of ingrown nails, ranging from the shape of the nail itself (tubular) to improper care and cutting of the corners of the nail (cutting too short or "round") and tight footwear, to mechanical injuries. This problem most often affects athletes. Regardless of the cause, the earlier podiatric therapy is started, the less invasive it is and the faster the nail returns to its normal condition and health.

The product is ideal for tamponading the nail fold, including in cases of inflammation.

The main application is for the nail folds after thorough cleaning and removal of the ingrown nail, gently sliding it under the remaining nail plate to lift it and isolate it from the inflammation, which reduces the pain of the ingrown nail and at the same time eliminates the inflammation. Additionally, after application, it can be soaked with an antibacterial preparation.
