What is grit?

It is the number of grains sprinkled on the surface of a paper file per square centimeter. What does this mean in practice? The higher the number/grit, the more delicate the file will be. 
A stronger grit will quickly and effectively remove hybrid and gel residue, among other things, and prepare the nails for further treatments, while the softer side will be useful for shaping the natural nail plate, matting it, and giving it the desired final shape.
The file can be disinfected.
